The Redlands Softball Association Inc (RSA) is one of the larger softball Associations in Queensland with over 800 members, having been at its present location since 1975 when a parcel of land at Sturgeon Street Ormiston was provided to the Association by the Redland Shire Council. Redlands Softball has a proud tradition going back over time, winning many State Titles in both male and female competitions at the junior and senior levels. Over many years, male and female players from Redlands Softball have represented their State and country, probably more so than any other Association within Queensland. Our Association enjoys the respect and support of its parent body (the Queensland Softball Association Inc) as well as other softball Associations in Queensland, not to mention interstate Associations and the Australian Softball Federation. We are also well known at the international level, with teams from the USA, Japan, Chinese Taipei and New Zealand regularly playing at our grounds each year. RSA's complex consisting of playing fields (8 diamonds) and a two storey Club House are on the eastern outskirts of Brisbane, close to the foreshore of Moreton Bay and the gateway to the popular North Stradbroke Island where swimming, fishing, camping, whale watching and relaxing are common activities at National Parks, Freshwater Lakes and white sand (calm and surf) beaches.
