Parking
Although we are only now starting to formalize parking with Stage 1completed,
three areas exist catering for over 200 vehicles within the grounds
with separate on street parking also available. Separate Bus parking
is located within a two minute walk from the club house. Buses are permitted
to drop off their teams and then required to park their vehicle in the
allocated area. As parking is close to the diamonds it is the individual
vehicle owners decision to park their vehicle in any location, RSA accepts
no responsibility for any damage that may result from a wayward softball.
More secure parking is available.
Amenities
Besides the amenities in the Club House which are detailed above a separate
amenities building exists towards the rear of the grounds. This amenities
building includes a male / female shared amenity and a separate wheel
chair facility.
Playing Fields
There are 8 diamonds within the grounds with a few smaller areas utilized
as either warm up areas or Rookie Ball / TBall fields. The following
table gives a detailed listing of all the features at each diamond.
Line Marking
Line marking on all diamonds is non allergenic. RSA uses OMNYACARB Calcium
Carbonate.
Warm up Areas Depending on the number of teams competing and the times
between games and where diamonds are not available a number of smaller
areas are available for teams to warm up. These areas are indicated
on the attached Site map.
Seating
Small Grandstands and earth mounds are located along part of the first
base and third base fences on Diamond 1 only. Limited seating in the
form of seats and logs exist around the grounds. However, it is recommended
that visitors and players bring a collapsible chair so that they may
be certain of enjoying any games or activities in a more relaxed demeanor.
Extra seating for games on Diamond 1 is available on the verandah of
the Club House.
Shade
Specific shade shelters are not available for spectators around each
diamond.. Numerous native Gum (Koala trees), Tee Tree and Ironbark,
along with some non native shade trees are scattered throughout the
grounds. These are generally not strategically placed for sheltering
spectators enjoying games. Depending on the event hosted shelters may
be erected to shelter visiting teams only.
Water
Numerous taps are available around the grounds. These are shown on the
location map enclosed.
Power
Electricity supply is available around the grounds at various locations.
Alcohol
Consumption of alcohol around the grounds is strictly prohibited. Under
the Queensland Liquor Act consumption of alcohol is only permitted within
the designated areas. This area is locally known as the Pig Pen and
is the fenced area that immediately adjoins the downstairs bar. Depending
on the event other areas dedicated for the consumption of alcohol may
be designated.
Other
RSA has a marquee which is available for use or hire at events, depending
on proposed purpose or event arrangements. For example Massage/Physiotherapy
or First Aid.
